Greenland Dunlins ssp. arctica, May 2022 in N Spain
A compilation of pictures of Greenland Dunlins Calidris alpina arctica taken in N Spain (Asturias and Cantabria regions) during the spring migration, 2022. We include both some classic arctica as well as a few not-so-obvious birds which we tentatively identify as arctica as well, trying to illustrate the extensive plumage variation of this taxon.
